アメリカの水換え事情

そのアメリカ版、いや本家なんだろうね。

もちろん水槽(Aquarium)についても書いてある。

お国の事情が違うと、言ってることも違うのか？？？

例えば水換え(Water change)

How Often?
(1)Water changes should be part of regular aquarium maintenance. The frequency will vary somewhat, depending on many factors. Smaller heavily stocked tanks will require more frequent water changes than larger sparsely stocked aquariums.

(2)My recommendation is to change ten to fifteen percent of the water each week. If your tank is heavily stocked, you should bump that up to twenty percent each week. A lightly stocked tank can get by for two weeks, but that should be the maximum length of time between water changes

(3)What about topping off? Some people think that if they add water to the tank, it's the same thing as changing the water. That is not the case. Adding water doesn't remove any of the wastes, so don't skimp on the water changes simply because you top off the tank now and then.

これは万国共通だよね

heavily stocked tanks: 密集した水槽（魚の数かな？）
larger sparsely stocked aquariums: より大きくて疎な水槽

(2)”おすすめは毎週10～15%の水換えよ"、”魚が多いと20%なのよ"
これって、少ないよね。日本じゃ、普通でも３分の１だから33%だもの･･･
アメリカの水槽って、でかくて安定しているのかな？

(3)"水の追加だけする人がいるけど、ちゃんと老廃物（排泄物）を捨てないと”
まぁ、バクテリアがちゃんと育っていれば水だけ追加する方もいますが･･･
